Joy Will Be Victorius

Grief, pain, adversity and annoyances, in general are those unannounced and unwelcome intruders that meet us daily along any path of life we travel. The meaning of grief is from a Latin word designating a heavy burden. In order to combat our inner burdens, it is helpful to remember that these adversities will not last forever. Jesus assures us that grief will eventually be turned into joy. We discover more peace and joy in our lives when we strive to posess an optimistic attitude. I seek solace in tough times with some verses of Scripture, a meditation or prayer in church, a sharing with a friend. Often a quiet run in the park or along the towpath provides me with the needed solace. I know the earthly joy and grief will both be only temporary, but I posess a confident hope that in the final analysis, joy ultimately will be victorious.
