The peacocks are out and the street style is popping in Florence, Italy.
After rolling through London Fashion Week, the international menswear circus has come to Florence, Italy for Pitti Uomo 93. In the last few years, Pitti has attracted top-tier design talent to stage presentations alongside its core trade show. This season 032c debuts its first full fashion line, and Undercover joins TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist for what will surely be a collaborative show for the ages. (Stay tuned for our coverage tomorrow.) And yet, all eyes are still focused on the real Pitti runways: Florence’s cobblestone squares and sidewalks. That’s where, twice a year, hundreds of buyers, bloggers, stylists, editors, influencers, and dandy gentlemen of unknown origin show off the latest innovations in tailored clothing.
January is peak hunting season, and we have photographer Kimberley Ross on the ground bagging the best Pitti peacocks. We wouldn’t recommend some of these suiting moves, but we do support every one of these guys’ fearless attitudes. We also hit Brunello Cucinelli’s legendary dinner party (where the suits are always proper and made of cashmere), and Brooks Brothers’ 200th anniversary show, where Zac Posen unveiled some tailoring tweaks of his own.
